The Story of David vs. The Owls



When David and Beth were still dating they spent a summer at the river, lazy days fishing, swimming, cooking out, and just enjoying the outdoors.  And nights around the camp fire.

One afternoon David went into the woods on a dirt bike to gather firewood.  He cut the wood down to fit into his rucksack and by the time he finished gathering the wood and cutting it down, he had neatly piled it at the base of a tree when the sun began to set.

Beth was back at the campsite waiting for David so that they could grill up dinner and then have a campfire like every other night when David sent a Text, "Do owls attack people?"  Beth thought, what an interesting question and googled, "do owls attack people?"  The videos delivered; and Beth replied to David, "According to the videos on YouTube, Yes."  David replied, "Drive up here to the trails, and bring fireworks."

Beth loaded up the car with a bunch of bottle rockets and delivered them to David.

David had leaned the dirt bike and the cut wood against a tree where some owls had decided to roost and they were doing arial attacks on David as he tried to retrieve the dirt bike and fire wood which is why he inquired with Beth in the first place.  So David, with bottle rockets in hand, went to retrieve the dirt bike and fire wood.

David placed all the bottle rockets aimed into the tree branches, lit the fuse and made a break for the tree to retrieve his items while the owls were busy dodging the bottle rockets.
